Why the bar

It was never the bar's fault.

Shower gel is mostly water. The industry took the bar, added water, put it in a plastic bottle and sold it back to you. The bars that were left became an afterthought. And you were left with a choice nobody should have to make: smell great and feel tight afterwards, or be kind to your skin and smell of nothing.

We don't think you should have to choose.

So we built a bar around fragrance, kept the glycerin in, added shea butter, and had it made in Britain.

The scents

Fragrance is the product.

Most soap is scented as an afterthought. We chose our fragrances first, then found the bar to carry them. Fragrance goes in after the soap itself is made, so it never goes through the harshest stage of soap-making.

The founder

Why I'm making this.

I've had dry skin for as long as I can remember. So has my family. Every time I looked for something better, I hit the same choice: something that smelt great and left my skin tight, or something gentle that smelt of nothing. And I hated the pile of plastic bottles in our shower. It looked a mess, and it was a waste.

That led me back to the bar. But I couldn't find the bar, or the brand, I wanted. So I'm making it myself, properly. Fragrance first, nothing that matters stripped out, made in Britain.

When do you launch?

We're aiming for early 2027. Waitlist members hear first, and founding members get first access and a founding price locked for life.

What does "founding price, locked for life" mean?

Founding members get a lower price on our standard subscription of three bars every quarter. That price never goes up for as long as your subscription stays active. You can skip or pause without losing it; if you cancel, it ends. We'll share the exact price before launch. Founding terms

What is the ledger?

We call our waitlist the ledger. The first 200 people to confirm their email become founding members, numbered 1 to 200. Everyone on it hears about launches and new scents first.

How does bringing a friend work?

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Every BLOC bar contains glycerin, which draws moisture to the skin, and shea butter, used in skincare for centuries. We chose both on purpose. Everyone's skin is different, so if yours is sensitive, the full ingredient list will be here at launch, and a quick patch test is always worth doing.

Do you use palm oil?

Yes, RSPO-certified. Palm gives the bar its hardness, and palm kernel gives it its lather. It's also the most land-efficient oil crop there is: getting the same oil from sunflower or rapeseed takes around four times the land, so swapping palm out would mean using more land, not less. What matters is how it's grown, which is why we use certified palm only.

Where do you deliver?

UK only at launch.
